There’s something about a downtown session that just feels like you—a little dressed up, a little spontaneous, and a lot like your favorite kind of date night. Gina and James wanted their engagement photos to reflect exactly that, so we spent the evening exploring Scranton together—moving from cozy bar corners to open streets, ending the night with a quiet sunset view above it all.

A Trendy Bar & Roaming the Streets of Scranton
We started inside a trendy local bar: dim lighting, a couple drinks in hand, and that effortless kind of chemistry you can’t fake really set the tone for the night. These are always some of my favorite images to capture— just the two of you settling into the moment. From there, we stepped out into the streets, letting downtown Scranton do what it does best: give us texture, movement, and so much variety without ever needing to go far.

A Sunset Above the City
That’s the thing about sessions here: within just a few blocks, you can have an entire engagement gallery that feels dynamic and full. The architecture, the sidewalks, the tucked-away corners, even a quick stop at a parking garage transforms into something cinematic. We made our way to the top just as the sun started to drop, and it felt like the perfect end to the night. With the soft sunset, it gave Gina and James a moment to slow down together.
